EXO's Chanyeol fans seem to be happy to hear the news of their idol being chosen to star in the musical. After deciding to undergo military service, Chanyeol will now immediately undergo entertainment activities in the military.

 

Reporting from Allkpop, Thursday (23/9/2021), in May, soldiers who are "currently serving in the military" auditioned openly for the cast of the musical drama The Meisa's Song: Us Under the Stars in a Dessert.

 

Through the audition stage, it was reported that Park Chan Yeol aka EXO's Chanyeol who was in the Army Private position had been chosen as one of the cast actors.

 

In addition, Kim Myung Soo or INFINITE's L and Army Corporal Jeong Dae Hyun were also selected. Famous musical actors Brad Little and Michael Lee are also in the cast.

 

Meisa means a shining star who does not lose hope and despair. The name was given by the main character to the soldiers sent to protect him.

The government announced that the implementation of this musical will still be held in accordance with the health protocols that apply during the Covid-19 pandemic. It is also reported that the musical's performance will take place from October 15 to November 27, 2021 at the Woori Financial Art Hall in Seoul Olympic Park, South Korea.

 

In early October 2021, shows will be held online without spectators. However, for the show in November, it will be decided again whether it will be held offline or stay online depending on future conditions
